Ryan McCombe Trio

Born in hotel lobbies after step dancing contests and contra dances in church halls, and honed NYC’s thriving trad music scene, the Ryan McCombe Trio is an Irish American celebration for every generation.

Lightning fast, expertly arranged traditional tunes for step dancing, singalongs from the Irish diaspora, clapping, jiving, and more come from this trio of some of North America’s finest Irish traditional musicians.

Come for the music, stay for the community. Bring the whole family, and don’t forget to pack your dancing shoes.

Ryan’s debut EP, My Side of the Ocean, launched the trio, and the tour cycle has included packed shows throughout Ohio, Boston, and NYC, alongside festivals like Gavin’s GuinnessFest (NY), Bayonne Irish Festival (NJ), Connecticut Irish Festival (CT), NY Aeriocht Festival (NY), Union County Celtic Festival (NJ), with more on the way. Featured in the Irish Echo, on the cover of iIrish News Magazine, and on radio shows like SiriusXM’s Celtic Crush with Larry Kirwan, WFUV’s Ceol na nGael, Gerry Quinn Irish Radio, and the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast (Best of 2025 List), the band continues to grow audiences throughout North America, and looks to continue to grow new stages in 2026-7.

Ryan McCombe is a singer, guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist musician from New York City. Raised in Yonkers, NY, Ryan absorbed traditional music as a Champion step dancer, receiving multiple regional, national, All Ireland, and World medals. He is a sought after multi-instrumentalist across the NYC scene, and has performed in bands including The Narrowbacks, The Prodigals, The Last Minute Murphys, and more. Larry Kirwan of Black47 called Ryan, “a real triple threat,” and his 2025 solo album, My Side of the Ocean, was called “A Top Shelf Selection” by iIrish News Magazine. Ryan is also an adjudicator (ADCRG) for traditional Irish Step dancing competitions, and works in finance by day.
